Socorro Open Amateur Rules

The Socorro Open is a 54 hole event contested on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 4th-6th 2009. Click to see purse amounts.

Eligibility

1. All amateurs must be in good standing, have computerized handicaps, and be 18 years of age and out of high school. Click for handicap calculator

2. Players residing in the Sun Country area (New Mexico and El Paso) must be members of the Sun Country Golf Associated and have current SCGA handicap cards.

3. The Socorro Open reserved the right to adjust the handicaps. There will be openings for 112 amateurs in seven flights.

4. A championship flight of 16 entrants (lowest handicaps given priority) will pay 5 places. Six flights of 16 players as determined by handicap will have a 5-place merchandise payoff. First place winners will receive $500.00 in merchandise and a trophy.

Dress Code

The dress regulations of the Sun Country PGA will be adhered to. Collared shirts must be worn in the Socorro Open.
