Eligibility All contestants of the Soccoro Open must meet the Sun Country Section PGA eligibility requirements. Professional 2. Members from other Sections: PGA members in good standing with their own sections. Class F and Inactive are not eligible. 3. Sun Country PGA Tour members in good standing who are A-3 members of the 1) PGA Tour, 2) Buy.com Tour, 3) Senior Tour, and 4) LPGA are eligible for Section events that are not subsidized by Section added money. They must reside in the section and pay dues to the Section. Tour Members in good standing from outside the Section may participate in events by invitation and approval of TEC. 4. Registered Apprentices must meet the requirements set forth by the Sun Country Section PGA. 5. Registered Apprentices from other Sections: Documented enrollement in GPTP and in good standing in their respective section. Must be currently earning credits toward membership and present proof of 40 hours a week current employment, receiveing at least minimum wage. 6. Unaffiliated Professionals are allowed to play in the Socorro Open but must pay an additional $100.00 for the Sun Country Section PGA players card (i.e. entry for the Socorro Open is $350.00 instead of $250.00). The SCSPGA players card is good for that tournament only. Unaffiliated Professionals may play in the Socorro Open Pro-AM by invitation only. Contact Russ Moore for details - 575-835-5335. Amateurs 2. Players residing in the Sun Country area (New Mexico and El Paso) must be members of the Sun Country Golf Associated and have current SCGA handicap cards. 3. The Socorro Open reserves the right to adjust the handicaps. There will be openings for 60 amateurs. 4. A championship flight of 16 entrants (lowest handicaps given priority) will pay 5 places. Six flights of 10 players as determined by handicap will have a 5-place merchandise payoff. First place winners will receive $500.00 in merchandise and a trophy.
